Fluorescent pseudomonads are a type of rhizobacteria that effectively suppress various plant diseases and can produce antimicrobial compounds such as HCN and siderophores. Instead of Nutrient Broth (NB), molasses, a residual product of the sugar industry containing sugar and organic acids, can be utilized for bacterial propagation. This study seeks to assess the capacity of fluorescent pseudomonads cultivated in different molasses formulas to generate HCN and siderophores. Five growth media formulas, M1 (10 g/L molasses + 5 g/L ZA), M2 (10 g/L molasses + 10 g/L ZA), M3 (5 g/L molasses + 5 g/L ZA), M4 (5 g/L molasses + 10 g/L ZA), and M5 (8 g/L NB), were employed in this descriptive study using fluorescent pseudomonads Cas isolates. The research results show that the best formula to produce HCN is formula M2 (molasses 10 g/L + ZA 10 g/L), and the highest siderophore is produced in formula M5 (NB 8 g/L). © 2025 Institute of Physics Publishing.
