Mechanical engineering students learn about the design, construction and operation of machines. Learning tools that use problems according to the context of problems related to engineering skills programs have had a positive impact on students' mathematical abilities. Through learning with context, the skills program has guided students to discover mathematical concepts in their own way. This device has also been proven to be able to develop students' thinking abilities. Thus, the purpose of this study is to determine how RME learning devices based on contextual problems can stimulate students' mathematical abilities. This research is a survey and descriptive research. In this study, there were 42 students of class X of mechanical engineering vocational school who were selected as subjects in the study. The result of this research is students can find formal mathematical concepts through activities related to their contextual problems. © 2026 Author(s).
