Problem-solving skill is one of mathematical skills, meanwhile habit of mind is a way to know how students respond to a problem. This study aims to understand the habits of mind of senior high school students in solving a mathematical literacy problem with space and shape context. Students are divided into high, medium, and low levels. This study applies a case study method of the qualitative approach by giving a test and interview to obtain the data. The sample of this study were 33 of first-year senior high school students. Based on the test results and interview, besides the fact that students with good habits of mind have good problem-solving skill, and its contrary, but there are students who have good habits of mind still not good in problem-solving skill yet, there are also some questions that relate among the habits of mind, problems-solving skill and mathematical literacy to understand the process in students’ mind. © 2026 Author(s).
