Recently, sports culture often encourages about environmental issues. One of the main issues is how sports as a physical activity positively contribute on environmental sustainability in the future. One of that integrates sports with environmental sustainability activities is plogging. Plogging derived from the Swedish words Plocka upp means picking up or picking up grain and joga means jogging. Plogging is an activity combines jogging as a physical activity with a social activity as a form of an environmental protection movement which is implemented by collecting rubbish together. This study aims to introduce, promote, and describe plogging as an activity that represents physical activity which is also accompanied by environmental sustainability activities in Indonesia, especially at Universitas Negeri Padang. This study was descriptive research with a survey as an approach where the population is students from the Faculty of Sports Science, Universitas Negeri Padang. The sample consists of 30 respondents. It is known that plogging has a good and positive impact as an event that promotes sustainable environmental ideology. In can be concluded that plogging is a collaborative movement which concerns for environmental sustainability as well as physical activity for physical fitness that promotes sustainable environmental ideology through sports. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
