Obesity has become a global crisis, raising significant concerns about the future quality of human resources. Therefore, the development of effective management strategies for obesity remains a priority to mitigate its adverse impacts. This study aimed to demonstrate the long-term and consistent effects of aerobic-resistance combined training on improving the health of obese individuals by using inflammatory mediators as biomarkers to assess health quality. A total of 25 obese women aged 20-30 years were recruited and underwent an 8-week aerobic-resistance combined training intervention. ELISAs were used to evaluate the interleukin (IL)-6, tumour necrosis factor (TNF)-α, and IL-10 levels in all the samples. Statistical analysis techniques, including paired sample t tests and independent sample t tests, were applied with a significance level of 5%. The results revealed a significant reduction in the IL-6 and TNF-α levels and an increase in the IL-10 levels before and after aerobic-resistance combined training (P ≤ 0.05). Additionally, we observed a reduction in the IL-6 and TNF-α levels and an increase in the IL-10 levels between the groups (P ≤ 0.05). These findings indicate that long-term and consistent aerobic-resistance combined training is effective in improving inflammatory biomarkers, thus potentially serving as an effective therapeutic modality to reduce the negative impacts of obesity. © N.
