The problem with elementary school capabilities in the field of literacy and science & technology as well as several children's storybooks which are considered unsuitable for elementary school students because they contain content that has a negative impact on children's thinking patterns are the background for the development of modern children's story books which contain character and science and technology. The general aim of this development research is to develop children's storybooks based on character and science & technology. In achieving research objectives, research and development methods are in accordance with the research and development theme. The research stage is a preliminary study, including literature study and a survey of storybooks that students are interested in. Then wrote a storybook entitled Prof. Tito: The Electric Bicycle Edition was then tested for validity and practicality as well as storybook intervention in learning Indonesian and science until the effectiveness of storybooks as teaching materials was obtained. The results achieved in developing printed children's storybooks meet validity, practicality and effectiveness as a learning medium for elementary school students based on predetermined testing criteria. © 2024 American Institute of Physics Inc..
