Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the role of Green Human Resources Management (GHRM) to EcoFriendly Behavior (EFB), mediated and moderated by Green Perceived Organizational Support (GPOS) and Organizational Commitment (OC) in manufacturing companies in the city of Padang. The population in this study are the entire manufacturing industry companies included in the Directory of Large and Medium Manufacturing in Padang City. Since the number of employees is unknown, therefore the sample is set amounted to 10-20 times the number of indicators, i.e. as many as 210 respondents. Data analysis employed the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis technique with an alternative method, called PLS. According to the test results, there is a positive and significant relationship between GHRM practices and GPOS, but not between GHRM practices and EFB. Then there is a significant influence between practices GHRM to OC, a positive relationship between GPOS and EFB, a positive relationship of OC to EFB, and finally there is a positive relationship between GPOS and OC. Furthermore, the relationship between GHRM and EFB may be mediated by GPOS, while the relationship between GHRM and EFB may be mediated by OC. © 2026, SRAC-Romanian Society for Quality.
