This study goals to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities using a PBL in learning tools. This research is a Research and Development (R & D). This learning device was made and tested on 26 students of Yunior High School. The results showed that the learning device in the form of the lesson plan and PBL based worksheet for grade VIII were valid, practical, and effective. In addition, the effectiveness of LP and worksheet to improve problem-solving abilities is 83.87%. Based on this, it can be concluded that PBL-based learning tools for grade VII semester II on rectangular and triangular flat shapes are valid, practical, and effective and can improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. © 2024 Author(s).
