Variable Speed Drive of Three Phase Squirrel Cage Induction Motor (SCIM) based on Internet of Things is a study that aims to control the speed and direction of rotation of a three phase induction motor using a variable speed drive based on IoT (Internet of Things). This control system is implemented on a 0.75kw induction motor connected to a mechanical load, namely a DC generator, the speed of which is controlled using a Variable Speed Drive Sinamic G120 which is controlled using a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Siemens S7 1200. This control system can be monitored with a multi-display via the Human Machine Interface (HMI) Simatic KTP 700 Comfort which is connected with an ethernet cable, then a PC (Personal Computer) Server, PC (Personal Computer) Client and Smartphone connected via the internet. Programming is done using the TIA Portal and Wincc Unifield applications. The test results show that this control system can be monitored and has worked well, the PC server display, the PC client and Smartphone have successfully displayed the monitored motor data and have also successfully controlled the motor as desired. © 2024 IEEE.
