Climate change has become a critical global issue with serious impacts on many aspects of life. This study focuses on Bali Province, Indonesia, which faces serious challenges related to climate change and the spread of rabies. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between climate change and rabies incidence in Bali. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative research with a statistical analysis approach and a GIS (geographic information system) based spatial–temporal model to identify the relationship between climate change and the distribution of rabies cases. From the data analysis, the results showed that there is a strong relationship between climate change and rabies cases in Bali, especially in the climate variables LST and NDMI. Rabies cases increased in line with the increase in LST and NDMI and vice versa. This means that an increase in climate variables, namely LST and NDVI, will lead to an increase in rabies cases. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
