Abstract

This article aims to identify the implementation of online learning for Junior High School students N 34 Kerinci as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach and informant selection technique with purposive sampling . Data were collected by interview, observation and documentation methods. The data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis technique (Interactive Analysis Model), namely data reduction, data modeling and drawing conclusions. The results in the study, showed that the impact of covid-19 on the implementation of online learning at SMP N 34 Kerinci showed that there was an impact on students, teachers and parents, because so far the learning system was implemented through face-to-face, students were accustomed to being in school to interact. with his teachers and with his friends. Communication is not optimal between teachers and students, internet quotas are wasteful because they use the internet too much, students find it difficult to follow teacher recommendations because of limited space and time, students feel bored because they miss friends and teachers and the classroom atmosphere and teachers are limited in delivering material. With the online learning method, students need time to adapt and face new methods that will indirectly affect the learning process. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.
