This article presents validation of the Career Planning Instrument for Deaf (CPID) for students with hearing impairment. The instrument is adjusted to Indonesian culture and values. This research is quantitative using validation of CPID with Rasch model analysis. CPID is used to measure career planning of students with hearing impairment with 63 items and was assessed by the research team of special education coordinated by the Research Center (Padang State University). The research samples were taken from 224 students with hearing impairment (M = 119, and F = 105) in West Sumatra. Findings show that Career Planning Instrument for Deaf is valid and reliable (person reliability is 0.95, and item reliability is 0.81) with 61 valid items out of 63 items (raw variance explained by measure = 27.3% with the expected value of 27%).
