The background of this research is the problem of implementing academic supervision carried out by school supervisors in Solok Regency more focused on administrative supervision by checking the completeness of syllabus documents, lesson plans, and teaching materials. The main purpose of supervision is not achieved properly. The purpose of this study was to describe the results of the needs analysis on the development of a self-assessment-based clinical supervision model. This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive method. The subjects of this study were primary school supervisors. The data collection techniques for this study were observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The data analysis technique used is the percentage formula. The findings indicate that a self-assessment-based clinical supervision model was developed based on the initial conditions of the research data based on the needs analysis that had been carried out. In addition, clinical supervision is a supervisor model following the academic supervision needs. It can be used as a guideline that is oriented towards improving the performance of school supervisors and teacher performance in the learning process. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc..
