The campus world is an intellectual world that upholds ethics and morality. The reality of gossiping is a global phenomenon in the campus social system. Gossip refers to unverified news or information about a person disseminated to other individuals unofficially. This article describes the typology of student gossip in the campus social system. This article is the result of research through the application of survey methods with research variables, namely interesting experience (PM), topic gossip (Tp), reason (Al) gossiping about gossip target object (OSG) and purpose (Tj) to gossip about OSG. When the only respondent gives a variety of reasons and is different from the others, the respondent is included in the category of exclusive gossip actor (AGE). A gossip actor who only has one reason & purpose but is the only one out of many respondents is categorized as a focused gossip actor (AGT). Gossip actors grouped with more than one respondent with one reason & purpose are categorized as simple gossip actors (AGS). Meanwhile, gossip actors are grouped with more than one respondent with more than one reason & purpose, so these actors are categorized as gossip actors in droves (AGB). . The world of gossip can be fragmented and mixed/overlapped between the complexities of roles played by actors in the social system. Efforts to give birth to a truly neutral actor (ANS) can be started by establishing a campus social system that is free from factors that trigger gossip. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc..
