Abstract

The problem-solving of mathematics abilities of students who are still weak is this research's background. The low independence of students also causes this. This study was done to determine the effect of student learning independence on student problem-solving mathematical abilities in using worksheets based on Project Based Learning at Universitas Negeri Padang. The design of the research is One-Shot Case Study. The data analysis technique used simple linear regression analysis. The coefficient of The regression-based on questionnaire score (b) is 0.715. The regression coefficient (b) result is positive (+). Learning independence (X) positively influences students' problem-solving (Y). The correlation coefficient r=0.148 means the linear relationship between X and Y is weak. The research concludes that learning independence affects the problem-solving abilities of mathematic students in using the worksheet based on Project Based Learning. © 2023 Author(s).
