Abstract

The limited ability of students to make mathematical connections is evident in their difficulty recognizing relationships between different concepts. This research aims to assess the effectiveness of the Connecting Mathematic Project (CMP) learning model, supported by educational videos, in enhancing students' skills in mathematical connections. This is a pseudo-experimental study conducted with eighth-grade students from SMP IT Alam Golden School in Solok City. Using a t-test, the results showed that the experimental group, which was taught using the CMP model, scored higher on the mathematical connection ability test compared to the control group. Students in the CMP-based class demonstrated superior mathematical connection skills compared to those in the conventional classroom setting. © 2026 Author(s).
