The Indonesian economy is dominated by entrepreneurs from several cultures, one of them is culture Minangkabau. The method of forming entrepreneurial cultural characters is integrated into the form of hereditary habits, social norms, customary norms, and religious norms. This study aims to analyze and describe the teaching of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial values contained in Minangkabau culture. This type of research is qualitative research. In-depth information gathering is obtained through; observation, in-depth interviews, and literature study. The data analysis technique used a hermeneutic method. The research results and findings are in the form of entrepreneurial competencies and knowledge that are passed down from generation to generation by Minangkabau families and communities. The entrepreneurial values found include courage, self-confidence, interpersonal communication, discipline, hard work, high social respect, and religious observance. The influence comes from family factors with maternal lineage (Matrilineal System), the socio-cultural environment of the Minangkabau community, and also overseas cultural factors. In conclusion, entrepreneurial values based on Minangkabau culture grow and develop through a learning process with a dynamic model and are passed down from generation to generation either directly or indirectly. © 2023 Author(s).
