Critical characteristics that influence spindle motor performance and control design include magnetic flux linkage and iron loss. Iron loss and magnetic flux linkage were two of the stator design parameters that were examined in this research. This research was conducted to determine the best settings for the stator to maximize the spindle motor's efficiency, torque, and effectiveness while minimizing its iron loss. A second-order model for fitting the flux linkage and iron loss was developed using the response surface technique, the design of experiments, and a central composite design. Spindle motor efficiency and torque were analyzed by using this model in conjunction with a finite element study of the flux linkage. The calculated values of magnetic flux linkage and iron loss were confirmed experimentally. High magnetic flux linkage, torque, and efficiency were generated by the proposed approach with minimal iron loss. By comparing the predicted and observed values, we found that the proposed model was accurate. © 2023 IEEE.
