Abstract

The rapid evolution of technology and the dynamic nature of the global job market have highlighted the necessity for continuous and personalized skill development. This study proposes an innovative AI-powered metaverse platform that redefines lifelong learning through immersive, and adaptive experiences. The platform integrates advanced AI mentorship, real-world scenario simulations, and gamified progression within a collaborative metaverse ecosystem. Key innovations include simulated biometric-informed adaptation, blockchain-secured certifications, and dynamic skill pathways that adapt to diverse learner needs across generations and disciplines. As a simulation-based design prototype, the platform was evaluated through synthetic learner models and scenario simulations. The modeled projections indicate a 45% improvement in skill retention and an 85% proficiency rate under simulated condition, illustrating the platform’s potential effectiveness under modeled conditions. By addressing global challenges such as skill gaps, inclusivity, and intergenerational collaboration, this framework demonstrates the potential to revolutionize education and workforce development. This research paves the way for bridging global skill gaps, fostering equitable access to education, and preparing individuals for a rapidly changing world. © The Author(s) 2026.
