Abstract

Titanium-amine functionalized silica was successfully prepared by a so-called one-pot approach by using 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane (APTMS), tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) and titanium(IV) sulfate as precursors. It is demonstrated that the TEOS/APTMS molar ratio in the synthesis of titanium-amine functionalized silica affected the local coordination of titanium and its corresponding positive impact on catalytic activity in oxidation of limonene by aqueous hydrogen peroxide. © 2012 Published by Elsevier B.V.
