This research aims to develop game-based learning media in basic math to improve the interest of fifth-grade students in elementary school. This research employs the Research and Development (R&D) methodology, utilizing the ADDIE model-Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate-to create an innovative Android-based assessment quiz. An experimental approach was adopted to validate the product's effectiveness. The study was conducted with 30 fifth-grade elementary students from Koto Tangah District, Padang, Indonesia, providing a practical foundation for assessing the tool's impact on student learning outcomes. The data distribution was rigorously analyzed using SPSS 16, revealing a significance level greater than 0.05, thereby confirming that the data follows a normal distribution. The homogeneity test results, also performed using SPSS 16, indicated that H0 is accepted, as the significance value exceeded 0.05, confirming the data's homogeneity. A t-test was conducted to assess the significance of the findings, with a significance value of 0.016, which is less than 0.05. Consequently, H0 is rejected, and H1 is accepted, indicating a statistically significant difference between the pretest and posttest results following the implementation of the Android-based assessment quiz. These findings demonstrate a meaningful improvement in student learning interest attributed to this innovative assessment tool. © 2026 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.
